Where can I go if I’m feeling hopeless?

Find hope and comfort in God’s presence and the support of a loving church community.

Where can I go if I’m feeling hopeless?

Where can I go if I’m feeling hopeless / lonely / confused / rejected / __________?

1. God can give you peace

Feelings of hopelessness, loneliness, confusion, and rejection can overwhelm us, but we are not alone. The Bible assures us of God's presence and His desire to comfort us. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Turning to God in our moments of despair allows us to experience His love and peace. He promises to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). There’s nothing too big or too broken in your life for God. He wants a relationship with you, right where you are, so that you can begin experiencing the joy that only He can give.

2. The church can encourage you

The church is a place where we can find support and encouragement. Galatians 6:2 instructs us to "carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ." Being part of a church community means having brothers and sisters in Christ who can pray for us, listen to us, and walk alongside us in difficult times. We invite you to visit Trinity any time or talk to our pastor. All questions are welcomed and we want to be a safe place of support for you. If you would like to talk to someone, please reach out here

3. The Bible can guide you

The Bible is a gift that God has given us, filled with the story of how He created us and loves us. It reminds us of all of the promises God has made and gives instruction for how He wants us to live so that we can experience true life and a joy that lasts. When we read the Bible and follow its instruction, God uses it to transform us. Romans 15:4 tells us that “…through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have HOPE.” When we let the Bible guide our lives, God uses it to bring us through our darkest moments, bringing hope and healing.
